Howdy, Pardners! Just wanted to let you know of a change-up that’s happening starting with the next shootin’ match. You Long Riders have asked if we could make the Long-Range contest a bit more challenging, so we’re going to try to do what you’ve asked. In June, we’re going to take the single-shot targets out as far as we can at the range and combine it with the Repeater Rifle targets. Then we plan to set the Pistol Caliber Rifle at about 70 yards. Speed Pistol and Shotgun will remain the same, along with our .22 Gallery target. We’re hopin’ this will make the shootin’ at the Long Range a bit more challenging, and we’re hopin’ you like the change-up.

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of a fellow Long Rider and former Vile Bunch member – Dutch Carlton.
For those members who did not have the pleasure of meeting Dutch, he served as our Paymaster and Foreman. He also had a lucky streak of winning the raffle gun at the Annual 3-Day Shoot every other year, even though we had innocent bystanders pull the winning ticket for us! Dutch was always reliable and rarely missed a setup, unless hunting season was open. He was always quick to lend a helping hand.
He will be setting up stages for Long Riders in Cowboy Heaven. Till we meet again, partner….

Range Officer (RO I) Training Session
There will be a Range Officer I course after the Long Riders annual membership meeting on Saturday, February 26th at the Shortsville Rod & Gun Club. Please contact Nawlins Kid if you would like to attend.
The fee is $10 for non RO I cowpokes. If you are already RO I certified, you may take the class for FREE (no test) to brush up on the rules and the latest SASS changes.
I will be offering the RO II class later this year. So sign up now for RO I, so that you can take RO II later!
Anybody got any steel bedframes? Nawlins Kid has an idea for a prop, but needs some bedframe or angle iron. Email him at safety@long-riders.org
